People either love or hate Valentines Day. I happen to be one of the odd balls who loves it. It’s not because I always had a significant other to spend it with or anything like that. It’s because I love love! All kinds of love! And I LOVE GALENTINES DAY!

Up until I met my husband in the fall of 2016, I never had a boyfriend on Valentines Day. I either just barely was broken up with or simply single. And instead of wallow around and hate it or the people who had dates, I made awesome plans!

One of the most awesome plans I ever made was with some gals I met at a random house party. We decided to plan an epic Galentines Day glamping trip.

What is a Galentines Day Glamping trip?

It is when a group of gals gets together and go regular camping and call it glamping. Simple right? YES!

Through the enabling power of group texting, we planned our Galentines Day trip. We decided we would all go to Capitol Reef National Park, we would all bring fancy hats, and we would all toast to friendship and independence with Perriers.

Our first night there, we set up our tents, started a fire, and ate dinner. After dinner, we said our toasts to our life status and drank our drinks. It was really one of the best Galentines Day Eve’s.

Galentines Day was spent wearing our fancy hats, hiking all over the beautiful red rock formations, taking pictures on our not great cameras, and making music videos.

The next day we drove to Goblin Valley State Park and continued making our awesome music videos before heading home.

No joke, it was my favorite Galentines Day of all time (no offense husband of mine!)

This group of girls and I haven’t hung out since, but I know that this was one of the best Galentines Days of their lives too.

You see? You don’t need a boyfriend or a girlfriend to have a good time! All you need are some like minded friends who are looking for adventure!

You can go anywhere, do anything, and simply enjoy the people in your life.
